China has called for a peaceful and diplomatic solution to the Iran nuclear issue, emphasizing political dialogue over confrontation. The Chinese Foreign Ministry reiterated that all parties should prioritize negotiation and international law to resolve tensions surrounding Iran’s nuclear program.

In a statement, China stressed that stability in the Middle East is critical for global peace and security. The ministry urged stakeholders to exercise restraint, avoid escalatory actions, and work toward a mutually acceptable agreement. “We advocate for resolving the Iran nuclear issue through political and diplomatic channels, ensuring regional and international stability,” the statement said.

China’s position aligns with its broader foreign policy approach of promoting multilateralism and peaceful conflict resolution. Beijing has consistently emphasized dialogue, negotiation, and cooperation in handling nuclear proliferation concerns, encouraging all involved nations to avoid unilateral measures that could heighten tensions.

Analysts note that China’s stance comes amid ongoing international debates over Iran’s nuclear capabilities and renewed sanctions pressures. By advocating diplomacy, China aims to foster constructive engagement between Iran, the United States, European powers, and other stakeholders, potentially paving the way for renewed talks under the framework of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

The Chinese government also highlighted its willingness to support international efforts, including the United Nations and other multilateral organizations, in facilitating negotiations. This approach underscores Beijing’s growing role in mediating global conflicts and promoting a rules-based international order.
